CowParade was honoured when legendary Pop Artist, Sir Peter Blake, agreed to paint a cow called Daisy to join the Surrey herd. Known as the Godfather of British Pop Art movement, Peter Blake created, among other notable works, the design of the ‘Sgt Pepper’s Lonely Hearts Club Band’ album cover. Daisy is bold and bright and proudly bears Peter Blake’s iconic signature across her side, along with a red heart on her forehead. She spent most of the summer on display at the Watts Gallery Artists’ Village.
Proceeds from the sale of Daisy will go to the Watts Gallery Trust and the Surrey Hills Trust Fund, which has been set up in partnership with the Community Foundation for Surrey to safeguard and protect the Surrey Hills for future generations.
