Lily is the creation of Sneaky Raccoon, the artist name of Manchester based freelance Graphic Illustrator and Designer, Anna Mullin, whose work often features animal, nature or environmental subjects.
Lily is named after the rare water lilies that are naturally found growing in conservation areas of Woking, Surrey. Sneaky Raccoon’s design features a subtle graphic message in the form of a heart which is intended to be seen by the birds above or those tall enough to notice. It is a suggestion of unity between nature and the people, which also serves as a positive message for the multi-cultural community of Woking.
Lily has been sponsored jointly by Skanska and John Laing who have nominated charity Groundwork to benefit from the auction proceeds of Lily. Groundwork support people across the UK to carry out thousands of projects each year. They help to bring out the best in young people by helping them to improve their local area; they also build stronger communities by improving green space, getting people back into work and creating green jobs.
