Multiplication Mooo is the creation of Guy Allen who is a successful international artist with exhibitions in Dubai, New York and London under his belt. His work can also be seen in private collections in Los Angeles, San Francisco, New York, Singapore and Hong Kong.
Guy discovered his passion for print making during his time in Paris, studying at the École Nationale Supérieure Des Beaux-Arts in 2010, where he became particularly fascinated with the traditional etching process. Following his graduation from Central Saint Martins School of Art in 2011, Guy moved back to Norfolk for 18 months. He still finds inspiration for his work in Norfolk before returning to London.
When asked, Guy Allen rose to the challenge of painting a cow to raise funds for Bakhita House which is a charity providing care and rehabilitation for women caught up in slavery. He wanted to show a similarity between his current 2D works on paper and the cow; therefore he adapted the technique of pointillism and with the use of gold he emphasized the muscular tones and shadows of the beast. Guy enjoyed the experience of painting his cow very much and has been inspired to work with different mediums for projects in the future.
