1 groupYou’d be forgiven for looking twice as you go through the Surrey Hills Village of Albury this summer. A most unusual ‘young lady’ has taken up temporary residence opposite the Post Office. Let us introduce you to…. Reading Mooterial the latest heifer to join CowParade Surrey.

She’s the creation of Albury based design agency, Opcyon Design who’s team have worked their creative  magic to produce a truly eye-catching piece of art. Managing Director, Julia Rennie comments; “Opcyon was invited to work with CowParade Surrey to produce assorted promotional and advertising material in support of this exciting event, so we decided to get involved ourselves by decorating a cow. As we design and build exhibition stands too, we thought we should showcase our ability for imaginative ideas by cutting our cow in half to create a large bookend complete with outsized books and daft ‘cow’ related titles!”.

3 cowCowParade is the world’s largest public art event which is seeing lots of brightly decorated fibreglass cows placed in popular landmarks across the county during the Summer. The idea is that each cow is ‘Sponsored’ by a business, school or charity and decorated by a local artist. The cows are put out to graze and dotted around Surrey until the end of August for all to see. A specially designed app is free to download from cowparadesurreyhills.com and shows where each cow is located. ‘Cow spotters’ can have fun collecting all the cows – think ‘Pokemon Go’ but with cows! There’s lots  to find out about each cow, win rosettes, take part in quizzes and more. Those who find all the cows will be entered into a prize draw to win a luxury Kuoni holiday for two to Mauritius!

4 cowOpcyon Design has nominated charity Cancer Research UK to benefit from the auction proceeds of Reading Mooterial.
